ONE PROMISE. EVERY GENERATION.

“You Will Be Satisfied.”

More than a signature phrase, it is the principle behind the Tasca family’s approach to buying, servicing, and owning a vehicle.

THE TASCA ARCHIVE

Every generation adds to the story.

A place on the starting line. These are the moments that made Tasca a family name—and shaped the way we care for our customers.

  1. 1953 THE BEGINNING

    THE FIRST FORD DEALERSHIP

A small beginning. A lasting promise.

Bob Tasca Sr. opened the original Tasca Ford in Bristol, Rhode Island, in 1953. He built his approach around customer satisfaction: understand what a driver needs, offer a fair deal, and take responsibility for the experience after the sale. Those priorities gave the family business a purpose that reached beyond selling cars.

  2. 1954 RE-BUILDING A BUSINESS

    RESILIENCE & A NEW HOME

    Rebuilding with the same conviction.

Hurricane Carol destroyed the Bristol dealership just one year later. Bob rebuilt the business in East Providence, Rhode Island, at 777 Taunton Avenue. The move began a new chapter, creating the home where Tasca’s dealership business and Ford performance reputation would grow together.

  3. 1960s–1968 RACING

    THE FORD PERFORMANCE CONNECTION

From the showroom to the starting line.

Tasca’s racing story grew out of its dealership service department. Early work on Ford Galaxie race cars led to a team with driver Bill Lawton, who won Factory Experimental honors at the 1965 NHRA Winternationals. Then Bob Tasca Sr. championed a powerful 428-engine Mustang combination. Ford responded with the 1968 Cobra Jet Mustang, bringing dealership ingenuity to a factory-built performance car. The Tasca name became part of Ford muscle-car history.

  4. 1972–1988 EXPANSION

    GROWING THE FAMILY BUSINESS

More ambition. The same customer focus.

The family expanded with Tasca Lincoln Mercury in Seekonk, Massachusetts, in 1972. The dealership led worldwide Lincoln-Mercury sales volume in 1986, 1987, and 1988 while earning Ford’s President’s Award for customer satisfaction. Bob’s sons joined the business, helping carry the family’s service philosophy into its next generation.

  5. 2002–2010 FLAGSHIP STORE

    A LEGACY BUILT TO CONTINUE

A new flagship. A new generation.

The Cranston, Rhode Island, flagship opened in 2002, bringing multiple automotive brands and a more convenient dealership experience under one roof. Features included drive-in service reception, a customer lounge, a car wash, and a café. Grandchildren joined the business as the family continued to grow. When Bob Tasca Sr. passed away in 2010, he left a legacy grounded in integrity and customer care.

  6. Today EXCELLENCE

    THE COMMITMENT TODAY

    Four generations. One guiding promise.

Today, Tasca is a fourth-generation family-owned and operated automotive business representing a range of vehicle brands. Across our dealerships, that family history connects with the needs of drivers in the communities we serve. Whether you are shopping for a new vehicle, comparing pre-owned cars, trucks, and SUVs, or planning a service visit, our purpose remains the same: earn your trust and work toward your satisfaction.

PERFORMANCE IS PART OF OUR DNA

A racing legacy that keeps moving.

The family connection to motorsports continued with Bob Tasca III. Ford Performance’s March 2024 announcement documented his Mustang Dark Horse Funny Car’s 341.68 mph run at Bradenton that February. It is another chapter in a relationship that began with Bob Tasca Sr.’s work on the Cobra Jet.
